Acme-Hardesty caprylic/capric acid is a mixture of octanoic and decanoic short-chain fatty acids made entirely from vegetable oil sources. Our product typically consists of between 53 percent to 63 percent C8 and 36 percent to 47 percent C10. It is useful for many industrial processes and is shipped as a light-yellow liquid in convenient drums or isotanks.

While conventional caprylic and capric acid can be obtained from both animal and vegetable sources, Acme-Hardesty is the only manufacturer offering a completely animal-free product. Uses & Applications

Caprylic/capric acid is used primarily in many industrial processes and as an additive to certain products. It is a chemical intermediate and lubricant, a solubilizer for mineral oils and a flotation aid frequently used in the oil and gas industry. It is also employed in the production of medium chain triglycerides (MCT), synthetic fats that are used medicinally by people unable to tolerate other types of fat.

Product Details

Acme-Hardesty caprylic/capric acid is derived from palm oil, ensuring it is completely free of peanuts, tree nuts, grain, dairy, eggs, fish and gluten. We use only non-GMO oils and never test our products on animals. Under normal circumstances, you can keep caprylic/capric acid for up to a year after the posted date of manufacture. The raw product is an irritant, and you should only handle it while wearing appropriate protective clothing.
